Smaller Footprint respects your privacy. We do not collect, store, or share any personal data. All photo processing happens entirely on your device.
Smaller Footprint requires permission to access your photo library solely so you can select and compress photos. Selected images remain on your device and are not uploaded to any server operated by us.
If you choose to upload compressed photos to Google Photos, authentication and upload occur through Google's secure API. Smaller Footprint does not store your Google credentials or photos.
Google User DataSmaller Footprint uses Google Photos APIs to upload photos selected by the user.
Data AccessedThe app accesses Google Photos only to upload new media items selected by the user. The app does not read, modify, or delete any existing photos in the user’s Google Photos library.
Data UsageSelected photos are compressed locally on the user’s device and then uploaded to the user’s Google Photos account. Google user data is used solely to provide this functionality.
Data SharingSmaller Footprint does not share Google user data with any third parties.
Data Storage & ProtectionSmaller Footprint does not store Google user data on external servers. Photos are processed locally on the device and transferred directly to Google Photos using secure Google APIs.
Data Retention & DeletionSmaller Footprint does not retain Google user data. Users can revoke Google Photos access at any time from their Google Account settings. No Google user data is stored by the app after upload.
All image compression is performed on-device. We do not run servers and do not transmit your data to third parties.
